In lieu of presents like video games, sports equipment and toys, a boy
of Wyckoff, NJ asked his friends to donate money to Pigs for Kids for
his 11th birthday.
A group of 20-somethings in Redondo Beach, CA raffled off a bottle of
vodka at a house party and donated the proceeds to Pigs for Kids.
At St. Mary’s
School in Pompton Lakes, NJ children in grades kindergarten through eight
kept piggy banks in their classrooms during Lent and collected over $200
for their brothers and sisters in Waslala.
After listening
to the stories of the children in Waslala, the Pequannock Valley Rotary
generously donated over $1,500 to Pigs for Kids.
Students
at Thiells Elementary School in Thiells, NY collected $460 by doing special
chores for their families. They committed to doing tasks such as sweeping
the floor and taking out the trash.
